Where Did He Come From?
Allan’s experience
started at an early age. Rather than a bed-time
story, his father would tell him jokes! His father,
who owned his own printing business, was also a
professional toastmaster. His mother was an award
winning cake decorator and party/banquet planner.
Since the early 1960’s,
Allan Lister has been entertaining people. He
entertained first as Santa Claus. Then he began to
add other characters to a growing repertoire.
In 1979 Rinky Dink, Humor
Technician (clown), came to life. The company of
Parable Productions was formed. Since then, Allan
Lister has traveled the mid-west performing as
Rinky Dink®, Humor Technician (clown) and
various other characters. His primary calling is
motivational programs, both Christian and secular,
for adults and children. He has performed in
nearly every type of venue. Along with the
programs, he does business promotions, birthday
parties and festivals. He also performs
after-dinner programs aimed at reinforcing the
family.
Allan studied with
“Flower the Clown” and attended
“Clown Camp on the Road” several times
as well as many other workshops and conventions. He
has studied with a variety of well known
instructors and mentors including Randall Bane,
Frosty Little, Priscilla Mooseburger, Dave
Mitchell, Steve Kissel, T. Myers and Bev Dowling.
He still credits most of his training to his
parents.
